Kevin W. Koenigstein

Kevin Koenigstein was appointed Monroe County Treasurer/Collector in November of 2008 to fulfill the remaining term of Merrill Prange who retired after 30 years in office.

Kevin is a native of Monroe County, growing up on the family farm near Hecker and attending New Athens grade and high schools.  Kevin is a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and he has his Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.  Kevin brings extensive experience and leadership to this office from his years of working in state government and commercial banking.

Kevin resides in Columbia with his wife, Lillian, a native of Columbia.  They have two daughters, Loren, who attends Parkview Elementary and Kaitlyn, who attends Eagleview Elementary.

Kevin is active in the following civic and professional organizations:

            St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Columbia (Congregational President)
            Monroe County Thrivent Chapter for Lutherans (Past President)
            Lakefield Homeowners Association (Board Member)
            Monroe County Farm Bureau
            Illinois County Treasurer's Association
           


Treasurer's Office Staff
The Office Staff of the Treasurer's Office consists of three Deputy Treasurer's, Sheryl Prange, Joy Hoffmann and Connie Seboldt, who will provide you with knowledgable, friendly service in an efficient and professional manner.
